For the love of Jennifer

February did not turn out to be a very good month afterall. My dearest friend of 25 years passed away suddenly on Valentine's Day. Leaving behind her husband and 6 year old son. I went to Arkansas for her funeral and to say my goodbyes. In her 48 years she packed in so much life! Like her niece said in her Eulogy, "she was a neon light in a dark room."

Then four days after she passed on we found out my brother-in-law accidently shot and killed himself. He and his brother went to a shooting range and thought all the bullets were out of the gun. There was apparently still one bullet left and when he set it on his lap the gun went off shooting him in the femural artery.

It is hard for the loved ones left behind to learn to live without them on the earth. We know that they are in perfect peace and surrounded by God's love, but it is still hard. I started a blog for Jennifer at http://www.fortheloveofjennifer.blogspot.com/ . Don't forget to say "I love you" (and mean it) everyday to those you care about!

Leslie and I had some girl time making Valentine cards
last Friday night. It was a lot of fun!

Here are Leslie's creations.
She did such a nice job!

Here are the ones I made! I am not a card maker or a scraper
and it takes me a while to get even the simplest ideas done, but
I did enjoy it. I wish I had more time to be creative...

I Love February!

I just love the month of February! It is such a fun month for kids and adults alike wether it's to show love, friendship or caring.
One of my favorite web sites with links is www.sugardoodle.net . It has really creative ideas for Primary, Relief Society, Visiting Teaching, Young Womens, FHE lessons, clipart and Holiday ideas. Go to the website and look on the left hand side where it says "random 10 page" and her "valentines page". There are so many fun ideas it should be Valentine's Day all year long!

Enjoy!
